No backwards compatibility for the new XBox One, whatsoever.

It's not really all that surprising.
They have to stop it at some point.
I would think though, that they'd change the product name altogether, when they did that.
However, there is value in name recognition, so I understand why they didn't.

    Microsoft has reversed its decision after too many people complained. There will now be no forced Internet connection, reverse compatibility is back on the table and Microsoft did a complete 180º on their approach.

    Similarly, Microsoft returned the Start Button to Windows 8 after the initial release, because so many people complained and alternative programs were released to restore it with after-market alternatives.

    Is Microsoft changing? Are they finally starting to listen to their customer base?
